FUN Eagle Scout Project this Saturday!

From Anne A.

Hi all!
Join us for a FUN eagle project this Saturday starting at 8am at the church.   Bring a SMARTphone and a lap top with WIFI (if you have one--the phone is most important).   We are documenting two cemeteries in Garfield for BillionGraves.com.

Each team will take a picture with their phone of the grave marker, upload it to Billion Graves (you will need to download an app onto your phone. . . so Walmart owned phones may not work) and transcribe the information on the website.   The uploaded picture has GPS coordinates attached, so that current and future generations will know exactly where the grave is located.   We need others who don't have phones to transcribe the information and others who will verify the information is correct.   This a project where we can use every teen
and lots of parents who are willing to spend a few hours this Saturday with us.

Breakfast will be served at 8 for all who volunteer at the church; Jacob will train the teams and then we will travel to Garfield and hopefully get all 600 graves done!

It IS late notice. . . but the race is on to his 18th birthday in September.   Any help is appreciated more than you can know.
